Not so, according to the figured my furry friend.

Although to be fair these do vary from site to site. Carstats.co.uk has the CRX as 0.1 secs faster

I take it they respond well to tuning then and 200bhp-ish isn't out of the question for reasonable money?

Just dunno if it's worth spending money tuning it when I could by the MR2 with vastly superior power and release loads more with a stage 1 upgrade.
You're looking at around 7-8 grand for an ek9 probably more for a really good one. They arent all that common over here . I believe it was the start of the type R and was actually the equivelant of a road going race car.

As for 0-60 times it depends what you want the car for. If you want to go fast in straight lines then the mr2 would probably be your best bet but if you want a fairly fast extremely good handling fun car that you can throw around in the bends then the crx would be alot better.

Personally I have my driving fun on extremely narrow country lanes usually late at night in the pitch black where you cant get up any real speed between bends so a nippy light good handling front wheel drive car will continue to be my weapon of choice. I'm currently planning a pug 205 gti b road weapon complete with lamp pod and lots of spotlights
