The car is designed to run a DV to protect the turbo so its not a "no no" to run one,
but you are better sticking to a recirc DV rather than an atmospheric one.
The RS runs rich as standard - running an atmospheric DV like the DV26 compounds this and tends to cause overfueling - ultimately this could result in loss of power and bore wash.
Because the ECU doesnt get the air back into the system when the DV dumps it overcompensates and the car can stall. What I found was aslong as you let it relearn its idle and dont drive it like a plank it wont stall
If you boot it right up to a junction and dip the clutch at high revs making the DV go whoosh WILL almost always stall the car - drive normally its fine.
I hope this clears things up a bit for you.
