As many of you know I have just got back from a 6 month posting in Belize , Central America.
2 weeks ago we went to the jungle to blow up all the old ammunition that was left from last years exercises. This involved preparing the ammunition and explosives ready to be detonated safely.
In Miami airport you now have to pass through booths that blow air at you and then suck the air back up which goes through an explosives detector.
2 weeks later and the machine could still detect the smell of explosives on me.
I was quickly surrounded by 6 security guards.
The rubber glove was mentioned and I kind of got worried
Needless to say I quickly explained why I thought it had gone off.
A thorough pat down and an hours grilling and they let me go

Ahhhhhh, now I got ya! Your first post read like "I went through Miami airport with a suitcase full of explosives, cos I was going to blow them up in a jungle"

Sounds like a good system they have at the airport tho

Inconvinient for some, like you who legitimatly work with explosives, but otherwise sounds like a good idea
So you home now then chap?
