As far as I know these can be setup a number of different ways, so advice from anyone may not be much help.
Much better to go and see a pro who will be able to figure out exactly how the alarm has been setup.
BTW, were you aware that remote start invalidated the cat 1 status of the alarm
, it's an add-on, rather than part of the alarm itself and not seen as "safe" by the thatcham / insurance peeps.
