You asked if it could be done in a day, which is what Stu views as rushing the job.
And with you pointing out the distance and it being awkward it made it sound like if he couldnt do it then you probably wouldnt go.
But clearly being a very professional guy he would sooner lose the business than not do it right so didnt do what most people do and say "oh well im sure i can sort it out in a day for you" and then cut corners.
