This was probably because the turbo was being overspun to get the power, a larger turbo would aleviate this at the expense of longer spool up.

Standard injectors are good for 270bhp at standard fuel pressure (waiting for the shout about people getting more
) and more is possible by upping the pressure but I've yet to be convinced that the injectors cannot be changed. Why should the ST Cosworth be any different from any other eec-iv?
