To convert an MPEG or something to a DVD I use WinAVI which takes a couple of hours to convert the file, and it takes near on an hour to burn it to a DVD disc using Nero, so depending on the speed of both your PC and your DVD writer, this is probably about right..... Obviously, the higher specced and faster the PC the quicker it's gonna encode it, and the faster the DVD writer the quicker it's gonna burn it
