That is correct, they are FASTER
. This is not only due to the aerodynic package, but the WRC cars were also allowed engine changes as well. So they switched to IHI turbos instead of Garrett and also they had longer rods, which increased the rpm limit of the Grp A cars from 6750 to 7250 on the WRC cars , with the obvious several mph gain in overall top speed this gave. The longer rods also gave better torque as well
. The WRC cars also have an active centre differential and rear suspension unique to the WRC cars.
Sounds like ur reading that from a book mike.....lol...the wrc car also had an active front diff.....as did the very last grp'a' cars...earilier wrc cars used ffd transmission later cars used the xtrac system...some with mech seq gearboxes.....
