Right, so I come home and boot up my PC. And although I installed the BT device on a different USB port yesterday, same thing happens today when I boot up.

The BT device doesn't light up and when the task bar comes up the BT logo is red saying no device connected. Then the NEW HARDWARE FOUND balloon pops up, says it is a new usb device, then says it is an unknown USB device. And it does nothing. So I unplug the bt device and plug it in again. Immediately the balloon pops up again and the ADD NEW HARDWARE wizard opens. So I direct it to the Widcomm btusb driver file, it installs and once again it is working.

However, now my Nokia PC Suite won't connect to the phone via bluetooth even tho I have the Widcomm stack set as the stack to use and have tried pairing it. The phone and PC will pair as devices but the Nokia PC suite still refuses to connect the phone and PC through it - just says no phones connected

This HAS to be a problem with the dongle. The only other thing I can think of is that the Bluesoleil software has somehow turned off the Microsoft Stack not letting the PC recognise the device. But this makes no sense as the system has been resotred 2 or three times since uninstalling that software, back to before I even bought the thing!

So I don't get it, and I think the only thing left on the cards is an entire system drive format and reinstallation of XP

So thats my evening taken up right!!!

While it's doing that I'll try to get on the other PC and see if it install on there using the MS Stack - hopefully it will so I won't have to buy two devices I can just get one, but from memory when I tried that on this machine BEFORE I installed Bluesoleil it didn't work. I just thing there must be something to do with the actual dongle and Windows doesn't like it or something
