bluetooth v1.1 ok if you just want to use it with your phone and a few other devices. But I think its v1.2 and above that supports stuff like bluetooth headsets and printers etc..
yes the widcomm stack I gave you is cracked to accept any bluetooth dongle. It even accepts ones that dont work on it!
The only bluetooth adaptors I've ever used is a HAMA one I got from maplins years a go - which is now old and outdated. And I got a nice v2.0 logitech dongle which came with my MX5000 bluetooth keyboard and mouse

(this also came a working version of the widcomm stack and installed on sp2 with no problems at all)
to disable the microsoft bluetooth stack you have to disable the microsoft bluetooth device in device manager (which your pc currently isnt picking up anyway!)
