i have a 1.6 xr2 engine fitted to my escort mk4
has k&n filter
rs16i manifold and the rest of the system is made by ashley

its making the usual tappet sound
i was thinking or replacing the tappets and cam at the same time but now im worried that it might be sounding a bit tappety because of low oil pressure?????? or maybe the oil pressure switch is playing up?

are there any quick checks i can do to tell me whether the engine is all running ok

if i bought an oil pressure gauge does it come with the bits to connect to my engine??
