The way i see it is with ford offering that, they are admitting liability for the fault on the car and the repair costs to a certain point. Get that in writing and then get a solictor to see where you stand in reguards to ford already offering to fix it and why they arent fixing it for free if they have admitted liability for the fault and 60% of repair cost.
