Other way around I think
Cat A - FUCKED (burnt out etc)
Cat B - Fucked, can never go back on the road (heavy crash, structural damage etc)
Cat C - Damaged, beyond economical repair, log book withheld, needs inspection before it can go back on the road.
Cat D - Damaged, beyond economic repair.
That's it I think, only thing I'm not sure on is the logbook thing with cat C.
My escort cosworth was Cat C (as they couldn't get the panels needed to repair it) The log book is sent back to the dvla until its repaired and then inspected. Then i get the log book back
Cost me 20% of the insurance to get the car back so well worth repairing. i'll have a cheap escos and money in the bank
