I have this: Vaio 14" laptop - perfect size for the graphics work I do on it (1280x800 screen, beautifully sharp and bright).



Spec's 512Mb RAM, 1.73Ghz, 80Gb HD, wireless, firewire, DVD writer...

Added 1Gb RAM and a Bluetooth PC card, and about to pop a 120Gb drive in it (£225 total) so I'll have spent £1040 on it, but it's been worth every penny (so far!). Use it for GPS sat nav with Autoroute 2006, graphic design, programming, Limewire, yada yada yada.

I know it's not the fastest (but it's about 13% quicker than my old AMD 2Ghz!) but it looks the part and does everything I need it to.

Whatever you do avoid PC World like the plague!!!!
