In some ways yes.
But for most people that build a powerful car they are proud of it whatever it does and will still want to show it off.
A 10 year old car (2.0ltr turbo) producing 600bhp is blooming impressive in my book
You should expect a 4 year old (2.5ltr twin turbo with 4 times as much spent on it) to produce more.
