Is this operating system stable now, Im going to reinstall my machine, but unsure whether to throw this on it?

I did install Vista a good few months back, but there was a few bugs, but was very good bar a few things.

I'm just downloading this, but its over 2GB, wondering whether to wait for it to finish or just put XP Pro on again.
