yes you can, you capture the audio and video source rather than try and convert the files..

i dont know how to do this by the way, ive never looked into it, but there's no way you can protect an audio or video file from getting copied.

just think about dodgy TVDs, someone points a camcorder at the cinema screen... you CAN't stop that with technology. simiar principle with PCs
