273mm cossie discs are too big for the size/weight of an escort - mainstream sierra discs at 20mm less diameter (and cheaper ) are fine. Obviously different brackets are needed to position the calipers 10mm closer to the hub centre to suit the smaller disc

I can't grasp the sense in oversizing the brakes then doing extra work to limit the amount of braking effort available to compensate??
