well i had a brand new tank fitted to my s1 it came off a breaker that i bought, like i said on your other thread they still need a good coat of hammerite as the new tank i had was 6 months old and was starting to have surface rust... that tank will now see out the life of the car,

i believe that tank was a pattern part and it fitted fine, i have a good spare in the garage too.

the fuel pump carrier if uniquie to the s1 however a s2 one will do so ive been told but never tryed one myself a proper s1 craddle is a concours part now and fetch good money, been offered £50 for my spare but they can and do get damaged due to there location under the car the other day i hit friggin badger and that ripped a fuel line clean off the fuel pump as it rattle the floor pans of the s1.
