We used to do that with Coffee cups and White Lightning when i was about 14
But your right, its enough that it goes down easy, but you get pissed quick.

Fag packet game is always a good crack.
Get an empty packet of fags.
Get you all drinking pints.
Take it in turns to flip it up in the air once with your thumb n finger. Go it once, pass it along.
If it lands on its side thats 1 finger, if it lands on its top its 3 fingers, and if it lands flat you drink however many fingers high it has got to so far.
Gets a bit competitive as after a lil while you learn how to not make it fall flat, so ther amount racks up.
But it always falls flat in the end.
This is always good to play in a pub with 4-5 people, they will make a lot of money off you but youl be thrown out within an hour or so for getting sick in their pub
