Is the gearing not set up for 140+? probably why they are so rapid under 100mph
standard gearing is set up for around 170...............but its pig ulgly looks wont let it get anywhere near that unless running some serious power......
The dakar models were geared for areound 120 IIRC with shorter ratios.
BTW 0-120 they have PLENTY of bang for buck and would leave my stage 3 sierra in the weeds with only "300" brake up to 120.
once rolling say from 40mph the cossie would obvioulsy be quicker.
fancy that, a car designed for rallying being quicker to the ton and a car designed as a toruing car being quicker once rolling
Thing is, that's all you want aint it. I rarely touch anything past 130mph, even if i've got the power. Only when the mood takes me, but i'd much rather have acceleration than top end.
All i wouldask for though is that it cruises at 100 and doesn't make my ears bleed
