It's worth mentioning why cars run 14.7. As stu said, it's chemically correct, and going leaner results in more pollution. Allthough the CO level drops, the Nitrogen and it's various oxides start to increase dramatically, making it hard work for the cat to catalyse them. But, if ur like me and don't care, then running mid 15's gives excellent economy
