Blue smoke on startup is nearly always stem seals. If changing the seals increased pressure the old ones must have been shot to buggery anyhow and would have needed changing. Sorthing the stem seals is cheap and easy. Even if you have to buy all the bits you can do it yourself in an afternoon for about £25.

If g11no spends out on having his turbo checked out and it turns out to be a set of £15 oil seals he will quite rightly be pretty miffed
