Been looking forward to this one for ages and it didnt dissapoint!!

The weekend got underway early with Dan and his good lady laura arrived with us on Friday along with Sean Forsyth, so we went out to teh chinese restaurant for a 6 course banquet then the lads went to Sanuk for teh night whilst the girls went out cruising in the Cossies to get aquainted. Perfect.

Saturday came and we all did some shopping to get a few last minute items, such as shoes that dont fit for Dan, a sexy little pink number for Sean and a shirt that hides a beer belly for me!

We went home and Sean cooked us all a fantastic lunch....
Melon for starters, spag bol for mainj course and angel delight for afters, the guy is a culinary wizzard and fed us well... many thanks for that Sean, it was fantastic pal.

Sticky showed just after we had eaten and Bluesmoke (Jay) had rolled into town earlier and was just counting down teh miutes..... the game was set and the Taxi booked for 7:45 arrived at 7:40... great start!!

First Stop was Lionels bar, a place run and owned by a chap called "Lionel Vinyl" A thoroughly great and amusing place and always a good place to start off the night, hes a true entertainer who deserves to do well.



















At 10Pm, we left Lionels and made our way to the Syndicate, the UK's biggest Superclub...as expected there was allready a big Que, but our guestlist and prepaid tickets did its job and we were in there within 5 mins, always a very professionally run door with no nonsense.. straight in, job done.



We had a drink in level 1 and showed Val and Stu around it as they had never seen it, a quick visit to teh R&B level and then it was upstairs to teh main dance arena as its called to get into teh new year mood, it was billed as a huge event being A Hed Kandi night, not to mention NYE with a 6am License. Thanks to a great friend i know at the Syndicate (Thanks John) sorting me out with VIP access for all my good frends, we were privaledged to be able to go directly to teh very top of the building and enjoy a level for a max of 60 VIP's with its own bar, that proved to be the key to the night as i have NEVER experienced a place so rammed busy as the syndicate was this night!!

We slipped down to teh dancefloor at Midnight to bring teh night in as part of teh electric atmosphere:







And then returned back up to the VIP area for a couple of hours.























Managed to get downstairs to get a couple of hours dancing in at about 3am, and a few of the group went home...



To give you an idea of how busy it still was, these last few pics were taken at approximately 5:15am just before we called it a night!!





The whole night was problem free, no fights no deaths no problems at all. Only 2 slight problems with the night:
1) Nicole felt poorly and had to leave in a taxi quite early, that saddened me as it wasnt the same without her.

2) The resident DJ (FUBAR) Announced that last night was his last night there as he is moving on to pastures new after 3years. People in the club Scene will know the guy is fast becoming a bit of a legend and can hold a crowd like no one ive seen before.









Anyone last night who saw him stood
on teh decks with thousands of people singing a Coldplay anthem to him will understand. Brought a tear to my eye. If you happen to read this Jay, best of luck in all your future Endeavours, and thanks for some great times. We will arrange a Forum night out and come see you at your new venue. Fubar's Website

I want to say a BIG thank you to all the people who came and made the night what it was, your all stars and good friends, love you all.

Also a big thanks to the Syndicate Superclub and all its staff from Security to Barstaff for a year of truly memorable PassionFord & Motorsport Developments nights out. (Example1) (Example2) Never any problems, never any dramas, just great nights out in a great club with great staff, especially the D, L and VJ's... the sound and lighting equiptment and skill on display in this place is still second to none IMO, so if you havent been, its about time you did... get yourselves down there with us on the next gathering!!
