I have witnessed the receptionist of my local Peugeot dealer calling up all thier customers for the day, saying thier car needs disks and pads.

Book time 1.5 hours, realistically for thier guys 10 mins work.

My mate works there and says its std practice and if they do a cam belt they say the water pump is gone. If the customer is known to not give a damn about the bill, they might say the head gasket is gone just to bump the bill up.

Find a guy you know and trust and stick with him, or learn to do it yourself.
