Hmmmmm well 65k is quite good, turbos wear things out a lot quicker.

Well if i were you i'd get yourself a new ratchet and pawl lifter set (again ebay they are cheap, or get to ford and get a genuine one should be cheap enough) and even if its not that u can bet it would go anyway and for what its costs its worth while changing it.

If it is the springs/thrust bearing going it will be noticeable in the pedal. What does yours feel like, the clutches on these usually feel very nice, very easy and smooth, and when so far down u should be able to positively feel the pedal fully engage the clutch. If its going the pedal will feel hard and springy, and when engaging it will progressively get harder then suddenly "snap" and go easy...
