Ah didnt realise u wernt from the uk explains it then lol, paint codes may different over there then might be worth ringing a ford dealer to get one u need!

In reguards to the paint did u degrease it first?! waterbased u have 2 use a speacial degresant specifically for water based so could be why. Also maybe using paint meant for a gun the way u did also could have caused a problem as its meant to be sprayed at 2bar of pressure to atomise it properly!!!

Plus....... was it thinned down with the proper water?! All paints have to be thinned down when used with a gun, solvent based you use a thinner whereas water u use a special de-ionised water so it 'flashes off' easier but, if it was sprayed in a cold room it would take forever to flash off thats the downside with waterbased stuff!!! plus has 2 be put on in thin-ish coats if its 2 thick again prob wouldnt have dried/flashed off. PLus if it hadnt been thinned down could explain it as its too thick really.

If u didnt get it right and didnt take it back to primer the basecoat probably would have stuck verywell 2nd time round.

But you had primed it fine in the first place so shouldnt have been 2 do with that

May be something to do with it anyway mate
