download the latest version of PC suite from the nokia site, i couldn't get my pc to connect to my phone with the cd in the box either

install the latest version

then u need to go "start" and "run" and type(cut and paste) the following:

Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll

mine worked okay after that
