Above is correct. Think the story goes that when a team wins the trophy 3 times in a row they get to keep the trophy and another is produced. At the time Blackburn won the trophy the English FA was very short for cash so could not afford to replace the trophy. An agreement was reached where Blackburn were allowed to display their club crest on their Corner and Halfway Flags.
