mine doesnt !!!!!!!!!!
I said on the track, been there? My car has around 170hp at 1 bar boost. Standard IC and standard radiator which is flushed. The air temp were around 15 degrees the days I drove this summer. After four-five laps the needle would be just below red and after ten laps in the red. I had to drive whit the heat on in the car to control the temperature. Ford added 30hp when they turbocharged the Escort but they reduced the size of the radiator! Bravo.. Yes the RST have cooling issues when you drive it hard, maybe not on the roads but you floor it lap after lap the heat builds up.
When I drive in the western parts of Norway where there are many slow hillclimbs the temperature will rise quickly because the radiator and fan is to slow to get rid of the heat when not alot of air is going thorugh the radiator. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the combination of the small radiator added power and the design of the frontal area will cause cooling problems.
