does it actually matter at this stage?

if you assume standard comp if a 1600 and get it set up to its optimum then surely this will highlight whether the compression is too high for the intended boost and have to be backed off... regardless of the comp ratio?

i.e. if you are at a level of tune that the exact compression ratio is significant then £100 or so for bits to take off and measure can't be too bad can it?
