Skyline and Escort were very similar when hammering it. We always filled up at the same time and they were normally around the same...
Think he did about £1000 on fuel. Think we found with the Skyline though is its ALWAYS thirsty where as the Cossies can be quite economical when you take it easy.
Skyline had to go on Gumball with standard engine unfortunately.
The huge single Turbo and other Blitz parts that Abbey were going to fit for the Rally stayed at home as well ran out of time as the engine had to come out when the bottom end had a problem with a week to go...
Then the clutch that was only fitted days before started slipping with only days to go...
So it only ran a 1bar conversion (around 400bhp) but kept up with everything with ease.
