Long story short:
My S2 has been off the road for about 2 months due to lots of things going wrong at the same time.
One of them was the gearbox and clutch needed looking at.
Ended up rebuilding the the g/box and getting a new clutch.
Add a few other bits, and the car was back on the road.
Last night I thought I'd go for a drive to see how the car is when the power comes in (

)
... I'm now thinking the clutch isnt up to what is getting pushed out.
The first stretch I put my foot down, I was getting wheel spin at 50-60mph
The next time I put my foot down, I had just passed a Sapph.
The Sapph was cruising, so I glided past, and turned around to head back home. The Sapph also turned around.
Being on a dual carriageway, I thought the sapph might want to play (I knew I wouldnt get far, but it was a bit of fun)
I really do hope the Sapph was just making me think I was pulling away, because there was a very large gap developing until the clutch was starting to slip. The revs were going up, but the car wasnt getting any quicker ... then the Sapph went past me.
Does anyone know how much power the standard S2 clutch will take before letting things slip ?
