only really one thing it can be then , it all teh rest is matched, and that is fuel pressure, if there is a kink or blockage in teh return line to the tank teh pump will pressureise to its max pressure and when teh injecotrs open , instead of 3 bar behind them, there may be 6 bar behind them.
