also the fact that they are offering 30% is almost an admission of the issues
Agreed (sort of) Ford would call this 'betterment' as the car will be in better condition than it was (prior to the mis-hap) due to it having 60K on the clock, but with all new components.
Try to find as many other examples of the same fault, and kick up a fuss.
