Just in case you dont know. I have never seen this car in the flesh and have never worked on it!

As for giving advise when asked for it, that is another subject as i go out of my way to help some people!

Now the pictures you have taken show rust and wiring that has been joined.

If you had 10 mins you could get yourself a solder iron, heat shrink, and fix the problem with the wiring (if there is one)

Also the rust can be delt with if you take it to a local garage. IT IS OVER 15 YEARS OLD! I would guess that a big % of ERST have the same rust.
