I'd say ive got 2.5-3K for a nice example doesnt have to have a mad engine in there just a sound body.
I'd say you could get something half decent with that money, I did, I went for a totally original standard car which had been looked after (1 owner all it's life) and had done 50K from new. Now I've got it how I want it I'm going for more power
