I don't think cable modems are like ADSL modems in the sense that ADSL modems have limits.
Arn't cable modems just like network cards? That's all cable is, a network.
I'm pretty sure cable modems can handle up to 100Mb without problems.
As for the set top box problem, i fucking hate STB, its a pain in the arse, especially when you have to keep rebooting it all the time cos you got no internet
That's why i pulled a crafty one, i went with BT for the phone, Sky for the TV, and NTL for broadband, meaning i get a proper modem
Ok, so it might cost more P/M but its the best setup

Apparently the upgrades don't officially start till the 5th of december, people who were upgrade before were, erm....guineepigs

in a pilot scheme apparently, probably to see if the hubs could handle it

I can't wait to tell the truth, X-Box 360 on 10Mbits is going to be bloody awesome
