The service has been reliable for these years. Wouldnt interest me going to adsl broadband, having to worry about how many metres your phone cable is or how far from the exchange you are. A technical article on the net said Ntl could turn on 25mb broadband today without upgrading there systems/servers.
They could turn on 50Mb broadband with the equipment they got today if they wanted
In fact, they are piping 50Mb broadband to a school, a few businesses and some homes in the UK somewhere to trial the service
The next 2 years we'll be seeing massive increases in bandwidth, i'd dare say that by 2008 we will have the option of 100Mb Broadband, just like they got in Thailand
They have got such an advanced wireless network over there, one company has set up thousands of access points, so wherever you are in the country (more or less) there will be a wireless access point that is provided by the telecom company (i forget the name of them) So for about £15 a month you get wireless access anywhere you are, even at home
