There's obviously somethin wrong with the electrical system then, that needs looking at Check that its just when you turn on your lights that the battery light comes on, if so check all your connections to lights and also earths that they're not shorted with a mulltimeter. When the battery light is on that means the alternator cannot produce enough power to keep the system charged.
