Trouble is, ask someone like Karl (nothing personal in the example used), who has very unique idea's and you will probably find that most of the stuff he does, he wouldn't want people to access, purely because, even though the entire Map may not be useful, certain area's of info may give his secrets away. I think that's a fair point, no?
I'm not saying that its right or wrong, but it's always going to be a grey area. The ECU belongs to the customer, but the knowledge that has been imparted into the Map belongs to the Tuner.
We all know that there are alot of 'Wannabe' mappers out there and also alot of people keen to pick holes in other peoples work.
Its a little bit like asking an Electrician to not only do the work for you, but show you exactly how he did it. FFS, thats what he spent years at college for!!
Having said all this, you should be entitled to be able to access all the auxillary features.
