Well, here's how our Heating system works.......

Our Boiler has a Digital Temperature setting which I assume controls the Temperature of the water that goes to the Rads.

We also have a Room Stat that controls the Temperature that the Heating Fires.

Each room has a Thermostatically controlled Radiator Valve.

Our Room stat is set to control the Temperature to 22°C during all the time that we are about. The Radiator Valves are set according to how each room feels.

The Boiler is currently set to 80°C (with a maximum of 82°C that we could up it to)

However, the heating struggles to get to 22°C. It does get there, but not easily. Having said this, we currently have lots of stuff not quite right, like bits of floor out, a couple of rooms without doors etc.

I just wanted to make sure that having the Boiler on its Maximum setting isn't harmful.
