maybe steering away from the 'how do i get more power' kind of topics and concentrating on 'how do i make sure the car is ready for more power' and what certain components actually do.

in fact, to start off chip or Stu, maybe an explanation of exactly how an Amal valve, map sensor, actuator* all work. i know the fundamentals but would love to fill in the gaps with fact rather than assumptions.
