Its not pointless fitting a vernier to a standard cam as it will allow you to get the timing dialled in perfectly [although your not gonna see/feel any real gains imo]

The standard cam is very good and many tuners swear by them BUT.....they do have quite a high wear rate usually lasting only 60'000 miles ore so before the lobes wear. So you'll probably find your cam is already quite worn.

An alternative cam that is recommended by many is the Piper 285 [Not the T2]
