all saph cossies did have abs, so it's better to get a donor that did have.

i have fitted abs to a non abs shell, but given the choice i would rather have the right shell.

your best bet, and i know this based on many reshells, is to either have a cossie shell (2wd or 4x4, doesn't really matter for a 2wd installation except for a length of 50mm box required to mount the gearbox x-member), or something like an xr or ghia model as these come with all the electrics already in the car for windows, mirrors, heated screen, abs etc, and with tinted glass.
