whip the clocks out and check for 12v across the rev counter (u will see all the three instruments are seperate and have pins connecting them to the circuit board)

my guess is the rev counter itself has packed in. Nothing unusual really......

the 3 connections on the rev counter are

12v
Earth
and a connection to the negative side of the coil (green wire)
