Default S2 Pump, buzzin VLoud, cutting out hesitating

NOW I know this would usually be diagnosed as a failing pump... I'll give some background before you jump to that one

Car has been relatively unused for a number of years, just been MOT'd and cleaned up

Fuel gauge not working, moves up a little but not out of the red.
Fuel Computer gives accurate information, including range left in tank.

Drove the car bout 50 miles up motorway, pump making real loud buzzing and spitting noises, as though is cutting out, car wount run, leave to cool for 10 mins, then fine. BUT problem re-occours.

Fitted a Secondhand pump, took the car out, litterally 2 mins down road, SAME symptoms...

Tried with feul cap off, so not a vacum prob.

DEFO got fuel in it.

Could something be in the tank blocking feed to pump?... the car has been used briefly prior to this problem covering about 30 miles...

Have we simply got 2 dodgy pumps???
