I would question the master cylinder size as well unless they are the same your going to have a soft pedal.

Also have a look at the 2005 Focus ours are shipping with 10.9' front rotors, disc thickness increased from .86 thick to .98. giving 17% greater pad area and
bigger caliper. It could be a cheap way to solve your problem.
