I used to have an Esc Cos

At the time I had the Escort I had an E30 M3 as a road car

Those wheels lasted about 5 minutes. I changed them for a set of 17" BBS's

I have since upgraded the Escort to my Lotus Exige and my E30 M3 to an E46 M3

It has been a long time since my Escort was a 330BHP road car, but I remember it being a very nice road car and mine never did give me any trouble.

But when the Escort turned into a track car, I wanted something fun for the road and the E30 filled the bill. The LHD thing WAS NOT a problem, you get over it after about an hour. Changing gear with your right hand and getting used to the dog leg 1st gear took about a day to get used to.

I only have praise for my E30 M3, it was a really really great car. The only problem I had was the fuel pump relay went (£5) which is a common problem evidently. I used the car every day and it was comfy and rattle free. It was nice in traffic and had adequate performance, but I would in no way call it quick. In fact they are pretty god damn slow.

I also used mine on track a fair few times and it was awesome fun, you can hang the arse out at will and they are so balanced. I did brake the gear linkage twice at track days. I bodged it the first time and bought a new one the 2nd time (£12)

I have to say though my E46 M3 is an awesome car. It does everything so awesomly well. OK I agree it isn't the fastest thing out there, but it isn't far off and I just love NA cars, for that instantaneous shove in the back.

It has all the bells and whistles on it and is the comfyest thing I have ever been in. It really is a great every day car. Plus the reliability is obviously on another planet compared to a cossie. Mainly because of the age etc.

HTH
