Hi all
Ive stumbled across a few issues in my quest for better brakes and thought u lot would be the people to ask.

My aim is to fit the front brembos from a Focus RS, and Focus ST discs onto my humble orion .
Im gonna design and get machined a set of brackets to get the caliper in the correct position to work with the ST discs. The first dilemma is the brackets themselves. The Brembos use a M12 bolt to hold em to the hub, whereas my Rs2000 calipers use a M10 bolt. So question 1 is:
Do I make the brackets with two M10 holes (to attach to the hub) and two M12 holes
(for the calliper) or drill the hub out to 12mm and use M12 for all four holes?
Which will be stronger? Stronger is best really.
Qestion 2 is can I use std Escort/Orion hoses with the callipers? (Obviously they’ll be braided jobbies) What I mean is the std hose fits the calliper, so can I just buy some braided replacements or will I need custom made hoses?
And lastly Question 3 is because the ST discs are slightly thinner than the RS discs theres a bigger gap between the pads and the discs. Is this gap too big or will the pistons push the pads closer when they are plumbed in.
Thanks Everyone
